We’re looking for a Communications Manager to help us communicate our mission to broader audiences.
About the role
In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our organisation. You’ll help improve our online and social media presence, host high-impact events, and stay in touch with our supporters and donors. Above all, you will continually refine our strategic approach to outreach and communications.
When joining the Center for Reducing Suffering (CRS), your work will be highly self-directed and you’ll assume a broad range of responsibilities right from the start. In the process, you’ll rapidly acquire skills and become part of our team of smart and caring people who work towards our shared goal of reducing suffering. You will have the opportunity to make a difference by influencing the priorities of suffering reducers worldwide, as well the broader effective altruism community.
You can learn more about CRS here.
What we are looking for
We would like to work with people who:
- are driven by maximising altruistic impact and a drive to continuously improve
- share our suffering-focused values and are passionate about our mission
- excel at self-directed work without strong supervision and are able to prioritise between tasks and get things done
- are familiar with the core ideas of effective altruism, s-risks, and suffering-focused ethics
Additional information
- CRS does not have an office, so the work will be entirely remote.
- We can offer a flexible working schedule. Depending on your needs, skills, and interests, we would consider either full employment or part-time work.
- The application deadline (for this particular role) is November 30, 2022.
