We’re now hiring for remote roles, including but not limited to operations, growth, and research.
Depending on your strengths and interests, your role could include some of the following tasks:
- Researching s-risks, suffering-focused ethics, or cause prioritization. (See our open questions page for ideas.)
- Developing a research agenda
- Designing and executing fundraising rounds
- Networking with other organizations and individuals in the effective altruism community
- Publishing career advice for people interested in using their career to reduce suffering
- Improving our procedures for hiring and onboarding, payroll, and donation processing
You’d have the benefit of setting your own hours, managing your workflow, receiving feedback from our team, and working on an important cause with like-minded people.
We’re looking for people who:
- are motivated by altruistic impact
- give moral priority to reducing (extreme) suffering
- work well without strong supervision
- have a good understanding of our priorities and strategy
- have a good work ethic
- (for operations) are conscientious and sociable
- (for research) have good judgment and creativity
If this sounds like a good fit for you, you can apply here.
If you’re unsure of your qualifications for these roles (or which role you’d prefer) but want to work with us, please apply! We’re still an early-stage organization with plenty of room to grow, and we are flexible enough to create roles that are tailored to each candidate’s skills and interests. If you’re interested in effective altruism, s-risks, and suffering-focused ethics, we’d love to hear from you.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
